What up everybody,

I have been out of the car stereo scene for about 2 years now and I am just getting back into it. I looking to buy some Mid's & High's for a 96 Ford Explorer. I was thinking about getting either Crystal, MB Quart or Kove, And I was wondering if some heads can give me some feedback and or suggestions about the products I listed or some others. I am going to be in competition, as to what depth I'm still not sure. And in case it matters I will be running US Amps on all my speakers.

And out of curiosity who is holding the world record now?

you should lay out some price ranges for people to help you b/c there are many diff models of each brand.

MBQ iis my favorite but I listened to ID cameleons that sounded awesome and were a good deal compared to the focals they *just barely* underperformed.

of course, you really need to listen to everything yourself b/c, as Lowlife34 might tell you, some people don't like some brands as much as others do. http://www.caraudioforum.com/smile.gif

i'm assuming you mean legal SPL record, db drag finals were recently held and there was a couple people to hit 170.X
not sure who has the record but i think that for db drag it is reset every year because of rule changes.

USAC Outlaw...um, lower 170's. I'm not talking about port wars here, that stuff is BS.

Money is really no object, my theory is "its expensive to be cheap", like I said I have been out of the scene for so long I don't really know what brands are holding there own and what's falling short of quality.

If money is no object then I would suggest Focal Utopias!

are you going to compete in SQ comps?
if so,based on what i've listened to myself
Focal get louder and clear when thrown more power.
Dynaudio get clearer and clearer when thrown more power.

hav'nt heard the focal utopia's yet, but i can imagine they will be bliss to your ears
