Ive got a pair of 10" alchemys in .65 sealed boxes and im going to be getting an amp for them soon...my question is would there be much of a difference between the JBL P600.1 and the P1200.1...i know its nearly twice the power but will it be that different on those subs? I mean how much more power can you push to those before you max them out which im sure the p1200.1 will do. Would i be ok with the P600.1 with the gains set higher? The reason im weary of the P1200.1 is because ive only got a 70 amp alternator and i dont want to be underpowered or anything...that and its a bit more money then i want to spend...any comments??

are u wanting huge amounts of bass or just a great nice all around sound, i would go with the JBL BP600.1 unless you want huge amounts of bass.

The BP600.1 would be enough for most people on those subs, but the BP1200.1 would push them very hard, but I don't think you would have to worry about the subs too much on the power handling. They handle a good amount RMS, with a peak beyond the power you will be pushing, which will only be a peaks in the music. Just be sure the subs are in the right size box and that the amp can stay cool enough wherever you mount it, not under the seat!
