Im going to fiberglass an enclosure for a pair of these small subs shortly. Im leaning on making my first ported enclosure, but dont know what they will perform best in. Also there is no listed enclosure air space recommendations.

Goldwood Del Mar #GW-6PC/4 - 6.5" 280 Watt Subwoofer
* 280 Watts Max Power
* 140 Watts RMS
* 4 ohm impedance
* Poly Mica Grain-Oriented Cone
* Butyl Rubber Surround
* Die-Cast Aluminum Frame
* High-Gauss 20-Ounce Magnet
* Hi-Temp 1.5" 4-Layer Aluminum Voice Coil
* Gold Plated Screw-Type/Banana Plug Terminal Posts
* Extended protrusive bumper plate
* Temp. Reducing Vented Pole Piece
* Freq. Resp.: 46-3000 Hz
* SPL: 96dB
* Mounting Depth 3.75"

I do not see any enclosure size reommendations. What size woudl you reommend for a these, ported (and what length, diameter of port) and sealed? Thank you for your help this will be my second audio setup.

Note: Do not waste my time and others saying that these subwoofers are crap, do not try to persuade me to use another brand. These are what I have and what will be used. This is not a sub vs sub discussion.

0.45 cubic foot net volume chamber per driver with a single 2" ID port 8" long. Make sure to load the subs close to and facing a near by wall or object. Loading the vent against that same object will increase the perceived output as well. Have fun with 'em.

Will a 2.25" x 5" port work?

Ok I contacted the manufactuerer and got some specs....

Effective Piston Area (Sd) 205.9Â Â cm2

Free Air Resonance (Fs) 44.2 Hz

DC Resistance (Re) 3.7

Mechanical Q Factor (Qms) 5.978

Electrical Q Factor (Qes) 0.490

Total Q Factor (Qts) 0.453

Voice Coil Inductance (Le) 1.2 mH/milli-Henrys

Equivalent Air Volume ( Vas) 21.3 Liters

Moving Mass (Mms) 36.3 Grams/Mmd + air load mass

Suspension Compliance (Cms) 356.942 µM/N/micro-Meters per Newton

Force Factor (Bl) 8.726 Tm / Tesla-Meters

Sensitivity (SPLref) 90.9
dB/Reference 8Ω/2.83Vrms

X-Max 4.5mm

It doesnt seem like that bad of a sub for being cheap as hell. 44hz Fs on a 6.5" isnt bad. The Xmax is rather low though.
