Pioneer CD-IB100II Wiring Question.

I just purchased the Pioneer CD-IB100II iPod connection and plan to install it this weekend. I noticied it had the yellow and black power and ground wires to connect. Im sure the can put the ground anywhere but what is the best place to connect the yellow wire? If i connected it to the same power wire as my deck would that take away from performance? or should i just run a wire straight from the battery myself?

Im using that unit on a Pioneer premiere 780, and my iphone works with it. Just a heads up.

If you are using the ipod off of your iphone and your phone rings, it will turn down your volume and your ringer will come through the speakers, but you still have to pick up and use the phone to answer.
