I recently bought my first system i have 2 12" Type-R Alpine Subs, and a Lanzar 2-ch 4000 watt amp. My problem is with the amp, i installed everything and it worked great for like a week. Then i blew one of the fuses on the amp, i disconnected it and looked for crossed wires or shorts, everything was fine. I checked both subs and they are fine too. Everytime i put in a new fuse it just arcs alot and then blows the fuse so it wasnt just a one time thing. I think it has to do with the amp itself but i dont know enough about them to fix it any ideas on whats wrong with the amp?

I don't think Lanzar is a very good brand, probably can't put out the power it says that it will.

how's your ground, it didn't happen to come loose or anything did it? that'd be where i'd start.

well i checked the ground it seemed to be fine, the thing is the amp still works on one channel, and i dont think it was b/c of too much power cuz i was runnin it at about 3/4 power, it might just be a faulty amp

3/4 power? meaning 3/4 gain setting? did you set your gains properly or just turn it up and let 'er rip?
May be your fault on this one, but generally you would've fried your subs before your amp... if its otherwise wired properly.
