Bassworx Launches iPhone/iPod Touch App That Matches Subwoofers to Enclosures
Wednesday, May 12, 2010 -- Bassworx, a manufacturer of unloaded subwoofer enclosures, car audio and home audio accessories has announce its first iPhone and iPod Touch app. Called the Bassworx Matrix, the app allows a user to match either the subwoofer of their choice to an enclosure, or match an enclosure to a matching subwoofer. The platform is based on the company’s Bassworx “Matrix” web tool, which can be found at www.bassworx.com/matrix. Users can download it for free, and it will work ‘offline’ (without wifi or a 3G connection) on either the iPhone or Touch devices.
Neil Willard, General Manager of Bassworx said, “The idea behind the app is so that we could make it easier, more convenient for the sales person to have access to the tool by putting the info right in the palm of their hand on a cool device that they will want to use. In some instances, it could be somewhat cumbersome to walk a customer over to a terminal to use the internet in store. With this app and a device, you have instant access right there with the customer.”
Bruno Gomes, Product Development Manager for Bassworx, said that what is currently available on the app will evolve over time, and that the company is currently working on additional functionality. Stay tuned for more information.
You can download the app by searching for Bassworx Matrix on Apple iTunes.
