This was fun to work on and it gets a ton of use at competitions. Every kid wants to play with it and every parent wants pictures. Last year it was doing about 145 at shows using a garden tractor battery. This year we have added two full size car batteries.

Yes more than it did originally. This model gator has two 12volt motors one was for forward and for reverse. I reversed the wiring to one motor so that they both drive it the same direction and I changed the wiring to the shifter to power both motors at the same time. Most of the power comes from two 800 CCA car batteries in the back.
