WIRING HARNESS QUESTION FOR DODGE RAM VAN

TRYING TO INSTALL A PIONEER HEAD UNIT IN A 1998 DODGE RAM VAN. USING 1997 WIRING HARNESS ADAPTER MADE FOR CHRYSLER. THE NEW PIONEER HEAD UNIT POWERS UP BUT HAS NO VOLUME. I THEN INSTALLED THE SAME HEAD UNIT AND WIRING HARNESS IN AN OLDER DODGE VAN - IT WORKS GREAT! WHAT AM I MISSING HERE....IS THERE A MODIFICATION NEEDED FOR 1998 DODGE VANS ON THE ADAPTER HARNESS? HELP!

First, turn off your caps lock

second, hook up the power antenna wire ( blue on the Metra harness ) to the blue wire on the pioneer.... that will turn on the factory amps, after a while, when the amps die ( they will, its just a matter of time ), you'll have to go to each speaker location and wire around the amps ( each amp is built right onto the speaker itself )
