I was wondering if anyone has converted from manual to power windows and if it was really hard, any problems you encountered, etc. Reason being, I want to put an 8" sub and a 6.5" mid + tweet in my doors, damned crank is in the way...thanks for any input.

What kind of car is it? Does it have a power lock system? If so, the conversion may be easier.

I've got a 1987 nissan pulsar, it actually has the mounting points for power windows, but I guess nissan didn't feel like putting them in.

CV-I looked at that page, kit looks good, have you ever installed an aftermarket kit like this???

Make sure the new power window motor doesn't have to be mounted where you want the speaker to go. In some cars, it is, and you're better off without power windows.

from what I could see and remember, it should mount further toward the back of the rear end of the door, so it shouldn't be a problem, even if it does mount close the the speaker, the door is going to be build out further anyhow because I want a flat panel instead of the curvy $h1t nissan puts in there stock, dear god that's annoying!!! I might build it out and put a peice of plexi to make it look cool, stick the outboard x-over in there and a cheezy fluorescent light just because I could...hehe. Will that motor cause interference to the speakers at all?? could I shield it somehow?
