Speaker Installation Underneath Dash Speaker Grill

I need to install two, 4 1/2" speakers underneath a permanent speaker grill on my dash. Is there any special equipment to use in this situation, because I don't want to cut the dash out.
I also want to know if my 1972 GMC Pickup can accept an aftermarket 180 watt receiver. Thanks.

I would assume that you have to remove the entire dashboard to get to where the speakers are mounted. In some cars (like my Camaro) this is easy, in others it is quite a laborious task.

If I'm way off base in understanding the question, please clearify.
