| It appears that the path the noise is entering the system is through the remote turn on wire. This could be noise coming from the radio, or simply the remote turn on wire is shorted to ground. | |||
![]() | Cut a length of 18ga wire that will reach the distance from the back of the radio to the amp. After disconnecting the original remote wire, connect the new wire to the turn on wire of the radio, then drape it from the dash to the amplifier, not installing it. Connect to the turn on position on the amplifier, making sure to remove the original one. Again, thumb test, do you have engine noise now? | |||
