This is extream, but you need to physically remove the amplifier from its installed location, and locate it on a bench close to the car. Now, connect a single power lead (equivilent gauge to the power wire used in the car) to B+ (12v positive) and a seperate lead to battery ground. Using an 18ga test leed, make a jumper wire connection from main power on the amp to remote turn on of the amp.
With the test speaker connected as before, and the test RCAs connected as before, press your thumb against the center pin of the RCA, do you still have noise? | |||
