2 12" kicker comps!! amp help!
Hey guys, Just got my brother a set of 12" kicker comps in a nice handbuilt plexi window bandpass.
I need a decent monoblock amp for them. my budget is 100-120 shipped. They are dual 4 ohms, so I need a 2 or 4 ohm amp. they are 500watts peak 150rms each. I need a class d monoblock that wont over heat. any suggestions would be nice. no 2 channels or sony amps please :P |

Are you sure they are the comps and not the comp VR's?
Comps are only SVC not dual. |

Is it not stable at two ohms?

Rated Power: 300 Watts RMS @ 2 ohm
http://www.woofersetc.com/p8046/Xa30...-Amplifier.htm 2 X SVC 4 ohm subs can present a 2 ohm load to the amp.

Well they're two SVC 4 ohm subs so I guess I need to be concerned with a 4 ohm load only?

This is pretty simple, too. Wire both woofer (+) to the amplifier's (+) and do the same with the (-) connections. 2 Ohm Subwoofer: 1 Ohm 3 Ohm Subwoofer: 1.5 Ohms 4 Ohm Subwoofers: 2 Ohms 8 Ohm Subwoofers: 4 Ohms 12 Ohm Subwoofers: 6 Ohms http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=160 |

Man the box is bandpass, and so badass. but oh well.
currently they're on a crunch p500.2 getting 62.5 watts rms per sub. So I guess doing that wiring wouldn't be a bad idea at all, then they would get 300rms at 2 ohms bridged. which is these subs rms rating |
