Wiring question: Pioneer AVH-P2400BT
I'm installing the Pioneer 2400BT on my 2004 Lexus IS300 and I had a wiring question...
The headunit uses a wire to detect the status of the parking brake to prevent use of certain functions unless the car is in park, like dialing phone numbers. I would like to be able to dial numbers at speed so I thought about leaving that wire disconnected. My only concern is that if I leave it disconnected, will the head unit throw error messages? Has anyone tried this with this head unit? |

Your best bet for this is to see what signal is being fed to that wire when the parking brake is on and then find another wire that has that signal at all times the stereo is turned on and just connect that to your cable...
****DISCLAIMER**** I do not advocate unsafe driving practices
