'87 Celebrity dash removal

Hi,
First time here.

I want to replace the radio in my son's '87 Celebrity with a CD unit. Can anyone fill me on on the problems I've heard about working on this car? I've heard people say that the dash is a bear to remove.

Any tips on what to look out for, how to go about it?

Thanks.

You wouldn't happen to have pictures of the dash would you? If I see it, I might remember.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back. Most of the time I can't log on to the forum because the "server is too busy" etc.

Here's a pic of the dash:

If you're desperate you could order the mastersheet instructions from crutchfield.com. That's what I did for my civic. They're very detailed, and only $4.99 with free shipping, it sounds worth it by the looks of that dash. My mom used to have that car and I gave up on putting a radio in (I was young then, now I could probably do it with the instructions). Go to crutchfield.com and search for mastersheet.

Thanks, I've ordered a CD unit from them and it includes the sheet free, along with wiring adapter and mounting kit. Hopefully, I can do it with the sheet. Thanks for your suggestion!
