Can't get rid of Kenwood screen.

I just bought a used car with a Kenwood cd/dvd player in it. I got the dvd to play but after every 30 seconds a Kenwood screen pops up and scrolls over various options of the system. I can still hear the movie's audio but I have to tap the screen to get rid of the Kenwood stuff, and it keeps coming back every 3o seconds anyway. I don't want to have to keep tapping the screen constantly during the movie in order to see the dvd, so how can I disable the Kenwood screen? Thanks to any and all who can help!
