I don't exactly know where to post this bvt I know some of the moderators haunt this place so I'll post it here.

I've been thinking, do we need ANOTHER CATEGORY pertaining to stock head vnits, LOC's, and general "aftermarket interfacing with stock gear" type q's an A's.

We get SO MANY repetitive Q's abovts LOC's, I was actvally jazzed to see a "high pitch whine, varies with my alternator" qvestion.

We can stick a bvnch a FAQ's abovt the basics on top.

OR, we tweak the "GENERAL" FAQ to reflect more of these qvestions b/c the percentage these days is REALLY HIGH.

An idea..

Oh, and Basicxj, yov MVST change yovr "Registered SPAM OFFENDER" badge. It's not a good analogy #1, real registered sex offenders don't get that moniker by going arovnd DISRVPTING those who want to have sex. They vse SEX to OFFEND.

Likewise, when I first joined here, I thovght that was like a "Scarlet Letter", a "tar and feathering" by the forvm b/c yov had posted SPAM, and yov were therefore reqvired to have this moniker for X days as pvnishment. REALLY!!! 'To let everyone know, YOV, had violated the forvm SPAM policy here.

I asked yov abovt it when I first joined. Yov were NOT amused, remember?

So it's one of those things I still notice...

The irony? I rock a Mac (but can't get into the "gay" thing...not that there is anything wrong with that)

If it makes you feel better, I use PCs at work and had them at home for many years before making the switch back in '09.

My Mac does pretty much everything my PCs did (and better, in a more stable fashion). OSX has a lot less bloat than the average Windows installation, and that makes multi-tasking and using multiple memory-intesive applications simultaneously much easier with a much more capable computer. I tinker and sometimes fix computers (including Macs and various other iDevices) on the side for people, and compared to a PC the design and parts used in the internals are generally pretty sweet and easily serviceable once you know how, though they do tend to cost more and have less "off the rack" tweaks and upgrades with generic parts available.

Put me on the same network as PCs with my Mac and I can do some stuff .

OMG, this sovnds like all the CRAP I vsed to hear in college from friends who owned MAcintosh's (I owned an 8088 PC, 32 meg HD, 640 RAM with a VGA monitor). I wovld say "yov've got a dinky little B and W monitor!!! Bvt somehow to MAc people, this was absolvetly meaningless, in fact they wovld create reasons why a small black and white monitor was svperior to a 15" VGA color.

I swear, back then, it was more of a statvs symbol. My PC clone package with a larger HD, more RAM, MVCH better graphics, etc. was only $1500 in 1987 (inclvding a Panasonic dot-matrix printer), while their MAC's were mvch more expensive.

OF COVRSE they thovght theirs' was better!!!!
