Using Wire Loom on 4awg power wire....

I bought a 4 gauge Rockford Fosgate kit and im wondering if using loom on it to go threw the engine bay to the cabin would be a good idea? Also Is using black electrical tape on the loom to keep it closed well a bad idea?

Thanks

Anything that protects the insulation on your wire where it routes through the engine compartment can't hurt- that corrugated wire loom will be a good idea, though taping over top of the loom may be overkill. Wire ties at regular intervals should do the job.

Use a rubber grommet where you run the wire through the firewall too. If you want to get fancy, there are two part plastic or nylon bushings that thread together on either side of the firewall that you can use in place of a rubber grommet to protect the insulation on your power wire where it goes through sheetmetal.
