the combat series is magnats top of the line amps, very solid amps.

here is a test on the combat series amps :
http://www.magnat.de/english/tests/car/combat.php

and here is the specs for the 4000 :
http://www.magnat.de/car/amp/index.p...r=4000&lang=en

as you see your specs are wrong, they are more like :
Max. power output into 4 Ohm
4x180/2x480 Watt
RMS power output into 4 Ohm
4x80/2x220 Watt
Max. power output into 2 Ohm
4x360/2x800 Watt
RMS power output into 2 Ohm
4x160/2x400 Watt
Max. power output into 1 Ohm
4x500 Watt
RMS power output into 1 Ohm
4x240 Watt
Frequency response
5-75000 Hz (-3 dB)
Harmonic distortions
<0,02 % ( 1 kHz )
Channels
4/3/2

Note that (if i remember right) all combat amps are stable down to 1 ohm STEREO !!!

Also look into the the magnat extremas, a very good component set. The price in EU should be around $200 ($500 in US) and most people say that they are better than other "high end" brands, such as Focal,Dynaudio etc.

Magnat Xtremas cost $300-400 in central EU...

Combat amps are the only Magnat amps worth having. Cost pretty much though, Audison LRX are better for the same money. But not 1ohm stable.

The specs are exactly as I said 2x400 at 2ohm mono. Well I have a morel hybrid set. But I know of someone who is buying the xtrema he said he's buying them for about 200$
Mind you the combat 6000 costs here 260$ which is like half the price for every american amp. I Want to buy 2 4000 one for my components bridged at 4ohm and one for 2 dvc subs 2ohm mono.
To which american company would you compare them?

I was just informed that the amplifiers cost about 700$! but rhe xtrema as I said....very strange.

There's a brand new, completely new Xtrema range released. Cast baskets, metal tweeters (go get the ceramic domes NOW!!!! while they might be still there),... 100% different.

So the old ones could very well be in discount now.

I got a set of the "old" Xtrema 213 and am quite pleased with them. Pretty laid back but that's not a crime I think (rather that than too bright IMO). Amazing bass response for a set of components.
Can't go wrong with them for $200.
