dnx7100 gain settings

I recently installed the Dnx7100 and have been having a problem with my gain settings. I went from the Alpine 9835 (4 volt preout) to the 7100 (2 volt preouts). The amps will come on and and then blow the main fuse. The 7100 also reboots itself when this happens. I dont get any sound since the amps arent turned on but the navi works just fine. The amps were JL 250/1 and a 300/2. I am confused on the high pass/low pass settings and would like some help? I have already checked all the grounds and power cables
