Both are nice, the Sundown edges out the Alpine, but you can't go wrong with either.

The Alpine is a good all around sub but the SA does out perform the Type R across the board. Sundown has better warranty as well.

Sa hands down. They will take a butt load of clean power, get loud, and sound good doing it. If you're running the Audiopipe 3000 just be careful with the gain. I had my Sa10 on an Audiopipe 1500 for a while with out a problem, but you need to know how to listen for stress and adjust the gain accordingly.

For that car and budget the sa12's are goingl to be hard to beat. A single 15 will have less cone area than two 12's. So the 12's setup correctly will be louder.

Install dependent. Way too many things to factor in. What does your electrical consist of btw?? 3000rms requires some upgrades.
