I purchased a Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 RFD2212 12" Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer

it handles 500 watts rms, it doesn't say on specifications but i'm guessing like 250 watts per coil?

see techinal specifications herehttp://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=632054/search=subwoofers/ut=4459cdc6ed0e2de9

I was wondering what would be the best amp for it, it is dual voice coil and i'm not sure if a mono would work or if i need a two channel. Any help would be appeciated, i would like the sub 2 hit as hard as possible without over doing it.

Do i want them wired too 2ohms or 8ohms.... whats better?

I would get somethin like a jbl bp600.1 and wire it parrallel for a 2 ohm load. You wont find an amp that will supply 500 rms at 8ohms
