i know most of you guys have some nice equipment but im not realy into spending much on car audio, but realy like having the sound.
i have a 99 maxima es

the amp is a 300w 2 channel Rockbox m209a i think it is. all i know.
i had 2 12's running off the amp [dont know the subs specs] they were 4 ohm subs though. and it was awsome and louder than i expected.
then i bought 1 Visonik 900w sub with a single 4ohm vc.
wired it up and got nothing. so i checked the fuse on the amp and it was blown.
then i try another fuse and before i can get the fuse in, it frys.
this happens even minus the sub. no matter what order i try it in , it blows before i can get the fuse in. just as it touches.
ive tried putting the fuse in without ground or power connected, then connecting them, uppon completing the circuit, it will blow.
i know this amp probably sucks but i reaaaly want to know what's wrong!
ever since i tried that sub, its been blowing fuses. it worked great with 2 12's and then when i bridged the visonik 12" it began constantly blowing fuses. it isnt my wires ive checked a few times over. also it worked before.

i asked a few people if this setup would work alright, and i got the thumbs up. they said that if the sub is rated higher than the amp its okay, but if the amp is higher than the sub then youll have problems

i have no knowledge of matching speakers with an amp etc but as soon as i take the visonik sub away, shouldnt my amptake a fuse now? only two things i can think of now....ONE ; i had a loose + battery clamp and it might have shorted but i dont htink so...TWO; my buddies were wrong and this sub fried my amp. but i still wonder why.

also what amp specs should i look for to power this sub properly?
the manual says "power handling capabilities: RMS:450w MAXpower:900w
thanks also this is my first post :)
