Installing Aiwa Cd Player

I'm trying to install an Aiwa cd player in my '72 El Camino and whenever I have it on and I turn on anything else like the wipers or the turn signal, or even when I turn up the volume on the cd player, the power cuts out. You all have any suggestions on how I can fix this??? Thanks.
